Well a lot has happened this past month, and where to start I'm not sure. The days are growing hotter, the nights brighter. The northern lights have gone to sleep till autumn, except on special occasions and midnight balls I don't think we'll be seeing them again soon. The bulbous clouds have returned with the indigo blue sky; creating massively beautiful sunsets and daytimes.
As for myself, personally, I'm doing great. Got a job at the mines now, bringing in 2900 $ every 2 weeks

lots of money..top of my list to buy is either a nikon D300, second is eye surgery to correct my 20/60 vision. I can't wait for both. I've decided to stay up here at least for the summer and work, then I might move again. Or i might not, I might continue working until I have enough money to go back to school again. Not v. sure what I want to do to be honest though I am having thoughts on photojournalism.
Speaking of which; I'm working at the local newspaper here handing in articles and receiving some tips on how to write editorially. It's great, funny how I got this opportunity was actually just taking pictures as I always do down by the river and I was approached by the owner of the paper. So I hope to be sending articles from the site I'm working at and back to them to proof and write back on where I can improve. Hell maybe I'll even get published, that would be a dream. My dream actually is to read my name in bold font underneath a picture I did

I'm not sure on a good place to go for photojournalism, as far as schooling. While I recognize you don't need schooling for a lot of things like art, I do want to be in a position where I can move around and work for a variety of places and positions like on a newspaper, a journal writer, a magazine columnist, a professional photographer. If anyone has any tips on good schools, be sure to leave a comment

on where and what you think of it.
I leave in about 3 days, I'm a bit agitated about the new place but I hear it's like working in a massive hotel. All meals are free, all drinks are free, residency is free and so is high-speed internet and TV. I work 10 hour days with a lunch break somewhere in between so I'm up and about 11 hours a day. I need to get my sleep back on track so I can wake up at 6 am now. It should be okay, I leave on tuesday at 4pm gate b (i'm kind of writing this down now to remember myself

). Can't wait to be honest I've been waiting for this work for a long time now.
I hope to do 2 weeks there and 2 weeks taking photos and advancing myself as I do. I probably won't be able to do much up there as far as photography, or I might you never know. It's supposed to be a very beautiful area, though.
Will miss the people I leave behind, but what can you do ? Need to make money.
I've met some interesting people lately, part of photojournalism is being a very social person. I remember reading an article that the difference between photojournalism and photography was PJ was the art of taking pictures of verbs and movies, and photography was the art of taking pictures of nouns and stories.

on that thought I have to pack up.

I like your list there are some really good points even though some are hard to keep sometimes!
However; you do need (to rely on) people, and do need to give your heart wholly - just make sure you donlt feel uneasy about giving it before you do!
Cheers!
